For Her Beauty Within (w.i.p)

SCROLL TO EXPLORE THE ARTWORK, INSPIRATION AND SYMBOLISM

Quote that inspired this piece:

“Not every victory is seen by the world.
Some are known only by the soul.”
— Unknown

My poem for this painting:

Not every beautiful thing
arrives with ceremony.

Some moments bloom quietly —
inside the chest,
behind the eyes,
in the place where a woman remembers
she is still becoming.

So let there be flowers
for the courage no one saw.

Let there be beauty
for the dream that did not die.

Let there be tenderness
for the woman who kept going,
and grace
for the part of her
that has finally begun
to come home.

Symbolism:

PEONIES: — honour, beauty, feminine grace and abundance; a celebration of the quiet richness already held within her.

SWEET PEAS: — gratitude, appreciation and delicate joy; a tender acknowledgement of the private victories known only by the soul.

The Story Running Parallel to my Paintings:

‘For Her Beauty Within’ will appear in Instalment 21 of The Turning Point.
